Q: What kind of payment do you accept? Do you have financing available?
The Kitchen Connection offers a variety of ways to finance your project. We accept most major credit cards, checks, cash or if it's more convenient, we can arrange for financing. Click here and complete our short credit application, and we will get a pre-approval for you.
Q: How long has your company been in business?
At The Kitchen Connection we are proud of the fact we have been in business for over 15 years and we have thousands of satisfied customers.
Q: I want to remodel my kitchen, but do I need to hire a separate Kitchen Designer?
Unless you're designing and building a brand new house you probably don't need to spend the additional money that a separate Kitchen Designer will cost. (Fees usually run between $100 and $300 per hour) Our professionally trained and talented design consultants have worked with thousands of homeowners through the years and since we've remodeled so many kitchens, we've usually encountered, and creatively resolved a customer's issue previously. Whether it is enhancing efficiency, accommodating multiple cooks, or expanding storage space, we can give your kitchen a fresh new look. Also, check out our Design Questionnaire for additional design assistance.
Q: Who does the installation work for your company?
To insure all installations are completed to our exacting standards, all of our caring and skilled installers are employees of the company - we use no sub-contractors. We hire apprentices who train both on the job and in classroom sessions from six months to eighteen months before being allowed in a customer's home. All employees are bonded, and covered by worker's compensation and liability insurance.
Q: How is the cost determined?
The cost of remodeling depends upon the size of your kitchen, the amount of work to be completed, and the materials selected. Click here to take advantage of our free, no-obligation consultation and estimate.
Q. I have a limited budget, any suggestions to save money?
If you like your current kitchen layout, and depending on the condition of your current cabinets, it may be possible to reface your existing cabinets and save approximately 40% to 60% over the cost of new cabinets.
Q: Should I expect any return on my kitchen remodel investment?
Yes! Every year Remodeling Magazine publishes their Cost vs. Value Report that compares the estimated cost of selected home improvements within certain geographic markets, the increase in home resale value, and the cost recouped percentage. In the 2001 report they compared 10 popular remodeling projects in 60 different geographic markets. The report concluded that minor kitchen remodels contribute the most to home value nationwide. For example, a minor kitchen remodel in Los Angeles costing $17,331 would increase the home value by $20,000 thus recouping 115% of the cost. In San Francisco 133% would be recouped and in San Diego 111%.
Q: Once my kitchen remodel starts, how long will it take to be completed?
A lot depends on the size of your kitchen, the type of materials selected, and whether we are installing new cabinets or refacing existing cabinets. As an example with new cabinets, since we blueprint and custom build your cabinets ahead of time, the average kitchen is usually completed in about a week.
Q: Do you take the cabinets off the walls to reface them?
No, we manufacture new doors and drawer fronts in our 30,000 square foot, state-of-the-art factory in Gardena, California. The actual cabinet refacing is done in your home with very little disruption to your household.
