Cabinet Options The Refacing Process Picture Showroom

At The Kitchen Connection, our talented craftsmen, high standards, and attention to details makes all the difference in the quality of your kitchen refacing remodel.

  1. The process all begins with a detailed blueprint prepared in your home by our qualified draftsman. This enables us to manufacture custom made doors and drawer fronts to the precise measurements of your kitchen.

  2. Your new doors and drawer fronts are cut to size and routed to the design style you have selected, utilizing our state-of-the-art manufacturing technology which combines the best of computer robotics and hand craftsmanship, to achieve the highest possible quality standards.

  3. Now we are ready to schedule your kitchen for installation.

  4. After confirming your installation date, our installers will arrive on time. We begin the process by protecting your kitchen floor and appliances, then we remove and discard all old doors and drawer fronts.

  5. We strengthen and repair cabinet frames where needed. The next step is to carefully sand and prepare the exposed frames to insure a solid bonding. Since The Kitchen Connection offers a 10 year warranty on our Formica refacing process, we want to know we can trust our bond!

  6. We build out the undersides of all upper cabinets for three reasons. First, it allows us to seal the cabinet frames from any moisture in the kitchen. Second, it prevents the lower rail of the cabinet from chipping and splitting. And third, the cabinets are much easier to keep clean!

  7. Next, we laminate all sides, undersides, toe kicks and face frames with Formica or a furniture grade wood veneer. Our exclusive, "Double Bonding Process" involves the use of a cold PVC adhesive which is applied to both the panel and the cabinet frame. The methods utilized in our "Double Bonding Process" set us ahead of industry standards.

  8. After all the surfaces have been laminated, we hand file all corners and edges to create a beautiful fine furniture finish.

  9. Your new custom made drawer fronts are installed and the new doors are hung utilizing high quality, self-closing European torsion bar hinges.

  10. The finishing details are completed, matching ceiling and floor moldings are installed, and if desired, decorator hardware.

  11. Last, we inspect our work from top to bottom, to ensure all work has been completed properly and to confirm our customers are satisfied.
Your dream kitchen is now complete and will be the envy of all your friends and neighbors. You'll love your new kitchen so much, you'll look forward to eating in every night!
